"Welcome to Rothenburg!"

The third and final part of the three video courses we have produced in collaboration with Ian Fennelly, filmed on location in Bavaria, Germany!

This third part takes place in Rothenburg, a must-see destination for every tourist visiting Bavaria. The video captures Rothenburg’s beautiful and very summery atmosphere.

Similar to parts one and two, the video is based on an actual class featuring real students and the feedback they got from Ian throughout the video. This is a significant advantage as it allows you to learn not only from Ian’s instruction but also from the questions raised by the participants in Rothenburg and their artistic endeavors.

The final part of the series: The most advanced one!

This last episode builds upon the knowledge and skills gained from parts one and two. To fully enjoy this episode, we recommend catching up on episodes one and two if you haven't done so already. You will notice that this part represents the most advanced level, and the group of students was already well-versed in Ian’s basic five-step approach.

Mastering the third dimension

Just like in part one, each building in Rothenburg has its own unique story to tell and is embedded in a rich context. However, in this case, our focus will shift to something else: In our sketching process, we aim to create depth — maximum depth and perspective! We will utilize various techniques, even incorporating colors to master the third dimension.

So, here we have the grand finale of the three-video tutorial series created in Bavaria. Let's embark on this fantastic masterclass!

THIS Episode is purposefully made to be for those

  • who feel reasonably familiar with Ian’s general technique and now want to:
  • take on a more complicated subject
  • learn about complementary colors
  • learn how to find the perfect motive
  • learn how to create depth and perspective by using various techniques
